Nunnery Bike Clubbers are returning to help Mark in his work sending bicycles to Africa. Last time we got some of his many hundreds of bicycles ready for packing, taking off pedals, turning and lowering handle bars, lowering seats, drinking beer and talking worse. Needless to say, it was lots of fun. This time it’s going to be even more exciting, as we will actually be packing these bikes and others, 400 in total, into a container which will then go directly to Accra, Ghana.
We’ll be doing this at Mark’s place in Mortdale, two minutes from Mortdale train station. We need as many people as possible to make light and merry work. We will meet on Thursday at Mark’s place at a reasonable hour.
The bike work is not technically difficult, so more hands are better. Afterwards you will be an authority on removing pedals.
